Grumeti Serengeti Tented Camp

At &Beyond Grumeti Serengeti Tented Camp age is truly just a number! Young or old, this vibrant and rejuvenating haven charms all guests with its warm welcome and dramatic setting.

With ample resident game, the Camp is also the perfect vantage point for one of the most famous crossing points of the Great Migration.

Relax right on the water's edge and unwind to the playful frolics of our resident family of hippo. Just make sure you don't try to take a walk on that extra green patch of lawn - it's really a floating garden of water cabbage that is home to some of Africa's biggest crocodiles!

NUMBER OF ROOMS: 10 tents.
Room dcor: Set in the shade of leafy branches, the grass thatched tents have cream and ivory interiors with the grand centerpiece being a colorfully adorned bed offset by a wooden headboard. Bright colours are found amongst dark hand carved wooden objects and furnishings.
Room amenities: Ceiling fans and large shower in the private bathroom open to the sky.
Special feature: The camp oozes colour and charm.
A central dining area and bar constructed out of local materials to create a playful and quirky, yet very African style. Intricate mosaic work decorates low walls and steps, bright cushions in burnt orange, yellows and greens upholster the sculptural shapes of the wrought iron furniture, while twisted tree-trunks support the beamed makuti roof.  At night the lodge buildings and paths are magically lit by flaming torches and lamps. Clients are escorted to the "boma", an open-air theatre for food. Here throne-style chairs made from twigs with cushions of royal-purple surround a large and beautifully decorated table to make an appropriate dramatic experience.
