Created more than 25 years ago it is hidden on the peaceful island of Manda, close to Lamu, on Kenya's north coast. The exclusive atmosphere of this tropical paradise is reinforced by the fact that the only access is by boat. The ideal destination for water-sports and deep-sea fishing, Blue Safari Club offers the ideal retreat for the self-indulgent in search of a quiet and exclusive setting. It is a place where you can enjoy superb cuisine served with great style - seafood and Mediterranean dishes are specialities - and an excellent variety of activities. Here you can explore the multi-coloured reefs and photograph the tropical fish, sail by moonlight whilst eating lobster on deck, water-ski at sunset in the calm mangrove channels, or stroll romantically along the deserted beach with the sand warm under your feet. "Simba", a 35ft CABO Flybridge Sportfisher with twin 375-hp Cat turbo diesels, is available for deep sea fishing expeditions. Diving and cruising expeditions are also available on the beautiful "Utamaduni", a luxury 60ft traditional dhow.
Guests of Blue Safari Club are accommodated in ten thatched cottages spread along the beach. These are designed in traditional African style and are very private. Spacious and comfortable with large verandahs, they are delightfully decorated in local fabrics. With its open sided dining room and charming bar, a beach side lounge, and verandahs overlooking the Indian Ocean, The Club, constructed of local fossilised coral and palm thatch, offers the perfect environment for clients to relax and enjoy this unique setting.
